Why you should be using Baobab Oil on your skin and hair

Baobab oil is becoming one of the most sought after oils in the cosmetic industry. Baobab oil is not only an excellent moisturizer for the skin and hair, but also an important emulsifier that helps to stabilize the molecules of some of the world's most popular brands skin and hair serums.

So where does it come from?

The Baobab tree produces large green fruits that contain a white pulp with dark brown seeds. These seeds, when cold-pressed, produce a golden oil with a nutty smell that we know as Baobab oil. Baobab oil is a light oil when applied to the skin and hair so you won't have to worry about clogged pores and build-up.

Benefits and Uses of Baobab Oil


As we grow older, the collagen in our body decreases. Baobab oil is packed with vitamins and antioxidants (like vitamin C) that contribute to the tightening of the skin and production of collagen. Massage Oil

Feeling tense? Try mixing Baobab oil with a few of your favorite essential oils like Lavender or Eucalyptus. Baobab oil is light and won't leave your skin feeling greasy. Here is one of our favorite recipes:

What you'll need:

- 1oz. (30mL) Harima Naturals Baobab Oil

- 8 drops Lavender essential oil

- 4 drops Peppermint essential oil

What you'll do:

-Place essential oils together in a separate container and whirl around so that the oils mix together

-Pour the blended essential oils into Harima Naturals Baobab oil and mix together using a spoon or stirring instrument

-Rub and lather on tense areas of the body

Nourishes damaged skin and hair

Baobab oil contains vitamin E which helps to promote healthy skin and hair. Vitamin E is responsible for reducing the oxidative stress that causes damage to hair follicles and also aids in the preserving the tightness or elasticity of the skin.
